Yushau Adozuka, professionally known as Gbono, is a Nigerian Afrobeats and Afro-fusion artist, record producer, and creative entrepreneur based in Lagos.
Growing up surrounded by the sounds of Afrobeats, rap, Fuji, Juju, hip hop, and R&B, Gbono developed a storytelling style that blends street-level hustle with soulful melodies. Every lyric reflects pieces of his reality — from hard times and struggle to resilience and ambition.
In 2025, he released his debut EP, Maybe A Little Longer, a raw and powerful testament to building something out of nothing. “If you’ve ever fought to make something out of nothing, this one’s for you,” Gbono says.
Beyond the studio, Gbono is building #OTG Gang (Off The Grid Gang) — a movement for dream-chasers forging their own path. He is also growing his independent imprint, Headline Music, to inspire the next wave of bold Nigerian talent.
His creative process is deeply hands-on, shaping most of his own beats and sonic direction, weaving live instrumentation and modern Afrobeats bounce with traditional influences.
